Intrapopulation variability of flavonoid biosynthesis in medicinal plants of South Urals

The data on the intra-population plasticity accumulation of flavonoids in plants Cossack juniper (Juniperus sabina L.), Korzhinsky licorice (Glycyrrhiza korshinskyi Grig.) and yarrow gorgeous (Achillea nobilis L.) which is grown in the southern Urals is present. A comparison was made of individual plasticity accumulation of flavonoids in the studied species. In this paper it is assumed that the cause of high plasticity intrapopulational accumulation of flavonoids is high mosaic content in soils of the Southern Urals separate chemical elements. First of all it refers to a divalent cation, which content in the soils of the region varies in a very wide range and can be successfully considered as an endemic, because it is very different from the average Clark levels for the Earth lithosphere. Mosaic accumulation of chemical elements in the soil within the individual geochemical provinces is due to the multilevel nature of the soil and climatic events. The paper suggests that, given the high patchiness of soil conditions and the formation of multi-dimensional ecological niches in the Southern Urals significantly increases the probability of occurrence in plants new endemic flavonoid compounds or certain combinations. Furthermore, the work is assumed that a possible cause of such a high plasticity of flavonoids accumulation is the stochastic nature of the network parthway system of flavonoids metabolism.
