Cuba's foreign trade and Russian-Cuban trade in the XIX century

The article is devoted to the history of foreign trade of Cuba during the XIX century. Special attention is paid to formation and development of trade relations between Cuba and Russian Empire. The author presents statistical data which characterize the dynamics of foreign trade of the island, and the range of exports and imports. The issue of trade in Cuban tobacco, which was in great demand in Europe, including Russia, was studied in detail. The author substantiates the conclusion about the mutually beneficial nature of the Russian-Cuban trade in the given period.
