Forest shelterbelt impacts on snow spread pattern with extremely strong winds in Crimea steppe conditions

The influence of protective plantations on the adjacent territory under extremely strong winds during the winter period is analyzed. For this purpose, snow distribution was investigated in fields protected by forest strips of different designs and a system of forest belts, and also in open terrain after a strong wind and snowfall in the winter of 2012 in the steppe part of the Crimea.
