The impact of oil and gas sector on region's inclusive development

The article assesses the impact of the oil and gas sector on the level of inclusive development in the Krasnoyarsk Krai. To assess the region’s level of inclusive development, the article uses an integral index consisting of three groups of indicators: indicators characterizing the standard of living and social inequality; indicators assessing the availability of social benefits and living conditions of the population and indicators of human capital development. The article compares the indicators of inclusive development before and after oil and gas production in the Krasnoyarsk Krai. The results show that oil and gas sector does not have a significant impact on inclusive development and the population of the Krasnoyarsk Krai does not receive significant benefits from oil and gas production.
