In experiments on anesthetized, tracheostomized, spontaneously breathing rats, the effects of intracerebroventricular injection of the basic proinflammatory cytokine interleukin-1? (IL-1?) on breath function were studied. It is established that IL-1? causing increase in minute ventilation of lungs and mean inspiratory flow, during too time reduces ventilatory the answer on progressing hyperoxic hypercapnia. The conclusion is drawn on easing ventilatory sensitivity to change of gas structure of blood at increase of cerebral level proinflammatory cytokines.

Cytokines, interleukin-1β, external respiration, central chemoreception, hypercapnia
