Success, knowledge of dramaturg N. Kolyada

The article examines the creative activity of Nikolai Kolyada (born in 1957), one of the most famous playwrights of the "New Wave" living in Yekaterinburg. All these plays were staged and are being successfully performed today not only in theaters in Russia, but also in well-known theaters in the near and far abroad. The creative individuality of the playwright is analyzed and the inner logic of his ideological and aesthetic searches, the characteristic of the typological qualities of Kolyada's drama are revealed.
