Divergence reduсing of a wide-band semiconductor laser output beam on the basis of the diffractive corrector

A method on the reducing of a wide-band, about 100 mm, semiconductor injection laser output beam on the basis of the diffractive corrector has been described. Here are presented the optical scheme, the algorithm, the calculation results and the experimental dates where the ellipticity of semiconductor laser beam has been successfully corrected. Awell light grasp values have been achieved. They are not less than convention methods ones. It is maintained that an effect of Diffractive Multifocal Focusing of Radiation is needed to use for complete correction of laser beam on this way. One more possibility is named for a positive effect from the investigated method applies. This is an effect of smoothing of a laser beam profile. This is actual for a multi-mode radiation having the highest transverse modes.
