Бесплатный доступ

The focus of the article is on the process of the first teacher certification in the ASSR of Mordovia in 1936-1938. The paper studies reasons that necessitated authorities to take this measure. The criteria for assessing educators by certifying commissions, the content of interviews with teachers and the results of the certification are characterized. The author demonstrates that the results of the first teacher certification in the MASSR were unsatisfactory. Educators who managed to get a rank of teacher on the first attempt were few. However, on account of the lack of staff, the majority of educators got permission for teaching on condition that they would complete their education before 1 August 1938.
