The topographic-and-anatomical substantiation of the transosseus osteosynthesis of the hand short tubular bones

The subject of our work was to determine the safest zones and directions of bone fixator application for the hand transosseous osteosynthesis. 12 preparations of cadaver hands were filled with stain and silicone, and after that the topographic-and-anatomical relations were investigated in the areas of saw-cuts made at different levels. The authors came to the conclusion about the existence of safe and unsuitable zones for fixator application.
