The Tobolsk Diocesan Vedomosti on the institution of the State Duma in 1905-1906 during the birth of the Russian parliamentary system

The author of this article studies the way the process of the creation of the State Duma at the very beginning of the Russian Parliamentary system was commented on the pages of the official publication of the Diocese of Tobolsk, the Tobolsk Diocesan Vedomosti. Tis question has not been adequately researched in the scholarly community, and usually is only considered in the context of narrow research about religious publications. Tis makes the present article very relevant, and allows us to focus on Diocesan Vedomosti as a historical source for the study of regional aspects in Russian history.
