The article examines the scientific approaches of forensic scientists to the classification of crimes in the field of entrepreneurial activity, as well as the patterns of the crimes under consideration, which underlie their unification and systematization. The results of the study are presented, indicating the existence of objective prerequisites for identifying two typical models of criminal activity in the field of entrepreneurship: “failure to fulfill contractual obligations and misappropriation of entrusted property” and “illegal activity in the production, storage, transportation, sale of goods or the provision of services.” It is concluded that interdependence, including the logical sequence of committing individual crimes within the framework of a typical model, is primarily predetermined by the specifics and procedure for implementing the legal model of entrepreneurial activity, its regulatory legal regulation, and business customs. The division of crimes in the field of entrepreneurial activity into main (basic) and accompanying (auxiliary) crimes has been substantiated. In conclusion, proposals were made on the use of knowledge about typical models of criminal activity in the field of entrepreneurship in order to increase the efficiency of the investigation of crimes of this category.
