The article considers the possibility of the formation of natural protected areas as active elements of environmental management due to the implementation of a single monitoring system. This will allow protected areas to become an operator for the collection, processing and provision of scientific information not only for their territory, but also for adjacent territories within the boundaries of physiographic areas, provinces and districts.
