This article discusses the use of improving of motor skills methods in long-term training of swimmers. The use of rapid diagnostic «D & K-Test» of the functional body state and reserve capabilities provides an objective analysis of our methodology. Experimental methodology supposes differentiation of athletes into 5 groups, coming from the level of energy supply of muscular activity. Young swimmers were divided into three biopower types: 1) aerobic type, 2) mixed type, 3) anaerobic type. The mesocycle of swimmers training consisted of 4microcycles where exercises-modifiers were used taking into account the biopower types of swimmers such as: exercises for feet motion perfection and breathing; exercises for hands and breathing perfection; exercises for hands concordance, feet and breathing perfection; exercises for motions coordinations perfection. The influence of functional indicators and reserve capabilities of an organism on the level of technical preparedness of swimmers aged 10-13 is presented.
