«The Tatar» helmet with combined camail (protection of a neck and a throat) from the Tobolsk State Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve

The unique helmet stored in funds of the Tobolsk State Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve is considered in this entry. Distinguishing feature of this helmet is a solid-forged hemispherical bowl and combined earflap. On the grounds of the typological analysis the helmet is determined as a product made by Tatar or Oyrat armourers of XVII century.
