A complete biography of Metropolitan Nikandr (Fenomenov, 1872-1933) has not yet been written, and the last period has been especially poorly covered so far - nine years of life in exile in Central Asia and ministry in the Tashkent diocese. This article continues the author’s series of publications that fill this gap. It briefly outlines the circumstances of the appointment of Met. Nikandr to the Turkestan diocese, and then, on the basis of archival data, narrative and scientific publications, his administrative, anti-schismatic and hymnographic activities are covered. The data presented in the article make it possible to judge Metropolitan Nikanadr as a person with a great sense of duty, devoted to the Church and the legitimate hierarchy, patient and restrained in dealing with people, but uncompromising in the fight against Renovationism. This study also provides material for understanding the confessional ministry of the Turkestan clergy and laity during the years of Soviet power - with rare exceptions, everyone mentioned in this article was repressed.
