The study of the suicidological situation in the region is an important stage of research that allows assessing the level of suicide, identifying risk factors and groups, identifying possible areas for improving prevention measures and evaluating their effectiveness. In the conditions of small territories, carrying out such work is associated with a number of features, among which, according to the authors, the most significant are: 1. A large spread in the values of the level of suicidal mortality (calculated per 100,000 population) in different periods (years). 2. Difficulties considering suicidal attempts (lack of instrument). 3. Limitation of the possibility of correct assessment of risk factors (alcohol, unemployment, standard of living, etc. 4. Limitation of access to the help of mental health specialists. Aim of the study: to analyze the suicidal activity of the population in a small area. Material and methods: to obtain a more objective picture, the authors used a dynamic approach with an assessment of key indicators for a long period (2010-2020 in this work.) The city of Yalutorovsk (40 thousand population) and the district (14 thousand population) were chosen as a small territory. In this first report the analysis of lethal suicides is given Results: the study showed that the city of Yalutorovsk and the district, a cultural and historical pearl of the south of the Tyumen region, belongs to territories with a dynamically declining level of suicidal activity, and in recent years has shown indicators below the national average (below 10 cases per 100,000 population). Still, during the implementation of the work, a significant "rejuvenation" of female suicides was revealed both in the urban and rural populations, the more frequent use of firearms compared to other regions of the country, post-mortem detection of an excess level of the alcohol component with the noted "peculiarities » narcological registration, which requires a deeper analysis of the situation as a whole. In conclusion, the authors conclude that the dynamic approach is sufficiently effective and acceptable to analyze the suicidological.
