Statistical analysis and short term forecast of the population of the Volgograd region

Authors carried out a statistical analysis and built a short-term point forecast for 5 years of natural and migratory movement in the region. The total decrease in the population of the Volgograd Region indicates the need for an urgent change in the economic and social strategy for the development of the region, the return to it of the status of an industrial center, and a sharp improvement in the quality of life of the population, especially in rural areas.
