The purpose of the study the aim was to compare the methods of real-time isothermal loop amplification (LAMP) and polymerase chain reaction with real-time fluorescence detection (PCR) for the diagnosis of Streptococcus pneumoniae in pigs. The results obtained during laboratory diagnostic studies of the biomaterial from pigs received at the Kropotkin Regional Laboratory over the past 4 years (from 2019 to 2022) indicate a high detection rate of S. pneumoniae (from 33 to 65%). Comparing the methods of PCR and LAMP, it can be noted that the isothermal loop amplification reaction time takes from 5 to 45 minutes, which allows you to conduct the same study as PCR, but much faster, and LAMP has a high specificity of 4-6 primers, and PCR only 2.
