The spectrogram of EEG in young men (n=48; 19-21 years old) was examined during the functional probe with light flash stimulation with different frequency 5,10,15 and 20 Hz along with purposeful activity which was modelled with Gorbov-Shulte's computer-aided test (red-black tables). It was found that subjects with a low degree of assimilation of the rhythm of light flashes at 10 Hz differed by the short search time for digits in the corresponding squares. These subjects had higher situational anxiety (34,7+1,1 и 30,3+1,3; р=0,027), significantly lower initial spectral power of the theta EEG region of the left hemisphere (О2, р=0,046; О1, р=0,0002; Р3, р=0,002; С3, р=0,004; F3, р=0,008; Т3, р=0,003) and its significant increase in the same areas of the cortex when all the variants of the test were performed.
