Establishment and development of preschool system in Yakut ASSR in the 1920's

The article analyzes the implementation of state social programs to build preschools in the territory of Yakutia in the 1920s. The author shows the features of early preschool institutions in one of the remote ethnic regions of the Soviet state and attempts to determine the effectiveness of this policy. The conclusion is made that preschools in the territory of Yakutia in the 1920s were established under serious human, financial and material shortages, often without taking into account local needs, traditions, way of life and culture.
