Modern dictionaries and their informative features

The article examines the possibilities of modern dictionaries in terms of providing information, both linguistic and related to other spheres of social life. The author touches upon the problem of insufficient use of any dictionaries by modern people. This happens both from ignorance of the functional features of dictionaries, and from the lack of a culture of working with the dictionary as a whole. The main types of dictionaries are also described: linguistic and encyclopedic - and their features are listed.
