The article deals with modern leisure practices of formation of legal culture of youth in the conditions of military service. Legal culture is considered as an integrative quality of the individual, which can be traced in the knowledge of the foundations of law, in specific practice-oriented skills, active citizenship. The author characterizes educational activities aimed at increasing the legal activity of conscripts. The purpose of out-of-service military conscription activities aimed at the formation of legal consciousness, civil activity, the design of legal actions, legal relationships, as well as the actualization of the acquired life experience is revealed. The author focuses on the voluntary participation, the variability of the choice of forms of leisure activities that contribute to the formation of legal culture. The article presents an overview of innovative pedagogical and socio-cultural practices of the organization of out-ofservice activities of military personnel aimed at the development of legal activity (legal webinars, informative educational courses on law, legal foresight sessions, legal workshops, legal theater), as well as analyzes the modern experience of the Military-Patriotic Park of culture and rest “Patriot” (military tactical games, exhibition space, excursion programs with quest elements).
