The current state and development prospects of the inclusive tourism in Russia: the main aspects of forming a barrier-free (accessible) environment

The article continues the cycle of publications devoted to the management of the inclusive tourism development in domestic practice. The study of this topic is relevant and timely due to the fact that people with disabilities consist at least 10% of Russian population and the inclusive tourism development is one of the tasks of a socially oriented society. The analysis of the regulatory framework of Russian tourism allowed the authors to identify certain "gaps" in the process of research restraining the comprehensive development of inclusive tourism. The main emphasis in the publication is made on the presenting the results of studying the category of "barrier-free (accessible) environment" for the tourism sector. It was determined that at present there is no comprehensive representation of this concept and a systematic approach to its study. The article proposes the author's interpretation of the category of "barrier-free (accessible) environment" for the tourism sector, based on the analysis of Russian regulatory documents, including industry ones. The experts from the regional fund for the promotion of inclusive tourism, leisure and recreation "Green Street" took part in the studying the components of the accessible environment - "information accessibility", and result of this work are presented in the article.
