The researcher dwells on the problem of group work of patrol police at mass public events and its effectiveness. The emphasis is given to the psychological aspect of influence made on group activity by external factors such as crowds of people, potential public disorders, public attention to police activity and internal factors such as principles of the officers’ group work and estimate of their work made by the chief personnel.
