Social and philosophical aspects of modernization in Russia

The idea on the Russian civilizational tradition specificity as the modernization key factor is proved. Only the countries which considered their own cultural traditions (Japan, South Korea, China, India) have managed to successfully modernize themselves. The modernization of Russia cannot be reduced to the unilateral “liberalization” that does not mean its waiver of democracy.
