Symbolical means of art and their understanding by students

In the article the results of an experimental study of the conditions of formation of students’ understanding of the symbolic language of art are presented. The obtained data allow assuming that the formation of symbols in human activity is carried out by means of active mastering in the process of social and specially organized training.
