Finishing touches to the portrait of the modern reader

The article presents a contextual and sociological analysis of the image of the modern reader, its multidimensionality is disclosed. Knowledge about the features of the modern reader, his preferences will help to alter methodological work in order to expand the scope of students’ reading interests, to contribute to the formation of needs to read.
