Locally spread forms of cervical cancer are often accompanied by massive bleeding from the tumor which aggravates the severity of the condition of patients and limits the possibility of special treatment. One of the effective methods of stopping bleeding is selective arterial embolization and chemoembolization of the uterine vessels. These procedures cause a decrease in the rate of blood flow and help to reduce blood loss. Intra-arterial chemotherapy in combination with embolization of uterine vessels allows increasing the concentration of drugs in the tumor and at the same time reduces the toxicity of chemotherapy. The article gives examples of the clinical use of these methods. It is shown that the greatest effect of selective embolization / chemoembolization of the uterine arteries is observed 14 days after the operation. A comprehensive survey conducted during these periods allows us to identify and initiate further tactics for managing patients.
