The article considers the difficult situation that arose in 1924 concerning the property of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem. At this time, the territory of Palestine was under the British Mandate, and the Labor government, which won elections in England, took steps to establish diplomatic relations with the USSR. For this reason, the property of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem and other cities was threatened with confiscation. Metropolitan Anthony’s trip to Palestine, lasted six months of 1924, from April to October, was devoted to solving this problem. The journal “Church Gazette” described in detail about the “business trip” and printed his letters “From the Holy Places”. The article also provides information on this issue from the journals of the sessions of the Synod of Bishops, kept in the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, and translates the works of modern German scientists
