Russian diplomats on the status of Slavic population of the Old Serbia (1902-1912)

The paper is based on the documents from the funds of the Archive of foreign policy of Russian Empire, the reports by Russian consuls in Kosovskay Mitrovica and Prizren, research papers and published sources. The author presents a analysis of the status of Slavic population in the northern part of the vilayet of Kosovo, a territory of the Old Serbia which was within the scope of Russian consulates in Mitrovica and Prizren. The reports of Russian consuls G. Scherbina, V.Mashkov, A.Petriaev, A. Orlov, S. Tukholka, P. Lobachev are important and interesting sources of information on the issue.
