The role of information technologies in the formation of competitive opportunities for tourism in the Crimea

In a scientific article, the authors considered the influence of the streamlined process of collecting, analyzing and storing information, the timing of its receipt on the success and profitability of a tourist organization. The importance of the introduction of information technologies at each production stage is analyzed. The authors have developed proposals aimed at improving the activities of organizations providing tourism services in the Republic of Crimea. Particular attention is paid to the introduction of QR codes, the possibility of a virtual visit to the facility, cooperation with domestic online services. The authors note that the sphere of electronic virtual tourism in the region is not yet occupied and, with the proper level of development, this type of tourism can turn from a trial final tourist product into a full-fledged educational cultural tourism. The article covers in detail the company’s after-sales policy, which may include the possibility of implementing online video consultations or forming a tour map with the possibility of using QR guides. The work uses the classification of methods for managing the increase in the competitiveness of organizations in the field of tourism into classical and alternative. According to the authors, the main direction of the strategic increase in competitiveness must be considered the improvement of the quality of services provided. It is noted that for the entire domestic tourism sector, including the Republic of Crimea, the main result of the introduction of digital and computer information technologies is an increase in convenience and loyalty for the organization’s clients and a significant reduction in the time costs of all employees of the organization.
