Use of means of the Russian dance in the pedagogical process in the system of higher choreographic education

This article discusses the problem of using the means of Russian folk dance in the pedagogical process in the system of higher choreographic education. The genesis of the development and formation of Russian folk dance as an independent discipline in the system of choreographic education is considered. The analysis of innovations and features in the methodology of teaching Russian folk dance, created by the People's Artist of the USSR, the main choreographer and creator of the dance group GARNH im. M.E. Pyatnitsky, professor T.A. Ustinova. The article clarifies the characteristic features of the methodology of teaching choreographic disciplines in the system of higher choreographic education. The components and structure of teaching aids in the discipline «Russian folk dance» are revealed, their characteristics are given and their components are determined.
