The role of the Khorezm archaeological-ethnographic expedition to the study of natural resources in the region of the Priaral

The article deals with the works of the Khorezm archaeological and ethnographic expedition under the leadership of SPTolstov. The works of the expedition are not only an invaluable source for the ethnogenesis of the Karakalpaks, but they also make it possible to trace some regularities in the origin of ethnic nature management in the Aral Sea area.
