Boris Godunov's role in the international relations with the holy Roman empire (1580's - 1605)

The article is devoted to the international relations between Russia and the Holy Roman Empire in the end of the XVI - beginning of the XVII centuries. Special attention is given to the following directions: first, the attempts to establish dynastic relations between the Godunovs and the Gabsburgs; second, relations in the sphere of military and political cooperation; third, relations in the cultural sphere.
