Results of potato breeding in Samara region

Agroclimatic conditions of the Samara region and the limiting factors constraining of potato productivity enlargement are considered. Problems and prospects of breeding work on a potato in the Samara region are shown. Characteristics of new potato varieties created by Samara Research Institute of Agriculture and All-Russian Research Institute of Potato Growing conjointly according to priority for region directions of the selection are presented.
