In the field season of 2017, the Department of Conservation and Rescue Archeology at the IAET SB RAS conducted rescue archaeological excavations at the settlement of Tourist-2 located on the terrace of the right bank of the Ob River in the city of Novosibirsk. The area of 6040 m2 was excavated; two types of archaeological complexes were found -a settlement (the Neolithic and the Late Bronze Age) and a burial ground (the Early Bronze Age and the Middle Ages). Ten thousand three hundred and ninety four artifacts were discovered including intact ceramic vessels and their fragments, articles made of stone, bronze, clay, and animal bones. The rescue operations at the settlement have made it possible to find a dwelling of the Irmen archaeological culture and a burial ground of the Early Bronze Age with the unique sculptural representations of animals and humans.
