Obishir-5 is a one of the Early Holocene key-sites in the western part of Central Asia. It was discovered in 1965 and investigated within five field seasons by archaeological team lead by U. Islamov. Previously researcher suggested that the site is one-layered object represented by epipaleolithic industry dated back 9-8 BC with microlithic technology. The industry dominated by bladelets and microblades with alternate and ventral retouch in tool kit, unitary segments, choppers and choppings. Currently, based on the geological sediments structure there are revealedfive lithological layers -four of them belong to Stone Age from LGM to Early Holocene. Every layer has archaeological materials, which show dinstinct technical and typological differences in primary reduction and tool set.
