Bohai crafts according to archaeological data from the Kraskino fortress site

Бесплатный доступ

The long-term archaeological study of the Kraskino fortress site, the district center of Bohai state (698-926), provided numerous evidence that its population used various handicraft products that were made both in specialized workshops and in households. Mass and unique products were manufactured with the use of local raw materials that were abundant on the territory around the settlement. Specialized crafts in the fortress included metalworking, bronze-casting, stone processing, pottery, production of tile and decorative architectural elements. Products of household crafts not only provided the needs of family members but also were part of exchanges between households.
