«Religious fantasy» as an element of modern religious mythology

In this work we define the content of the concept “religious mythology”. The necessity to introduce this concept into the field of Religion Studies is timely, as it more precisely clarifies the spheres of interaction of myth and religion. In this work we give basic definitions of myth, religion, components of religious mythology. As an element of religious mythology in contemporary youth subculture we define religious fantasy. In the article we characterize this phenomenon, single out specific peculiarities of religious fantasy concerned with contemporary mass culture.
