The article discusses the development of remote monitoring of corrosion of the elements of fastening supports in the overhead line. A large place in the work is occupied by the consideration of methods for measuring corrosion in real time, the selection of corrosion sensors. The author gives a characteristic of the sensor and the measurement method. The paper analyzes the correctness of the method of measuring the corrosion of the ultrasonic thickness gauge. The main attention is turned to the Rosemount ™ Permasens ET310 series sensor. Using Rosemount ™ PermasenseET310, authorizes the correct application of ultrasonic thickness gauge sensors and reflects the data obtained by monitoring the corrosion rate in aggressive environments using Rosemount ™ PermasenseET310 sensors and probes. The article is extremely useful for specialists engaged in corrosion monitoring both for understanding the operation of Rosemount ™ PermasenseET310 type corrosion sensors in particularly aggressive environments, and for the correct choice of controls during anticorrosion measures
