Distance learning system development in higher education

The author discusses the topical issues of educational process organiz ation considering distance learning technologies. We offer the concept of distance learning based on telecommunication technologies. The article substantiates the practical significance of the introduction of innovative forms of learning and the need for a high level of readiness of universities to systemic change that will enable them to develop as high a pace as is the development of the technology.
