Public elective notariate in Vladivostok, 1880-1897

During the period from 1880 to 1897 notary offices in the cities of the Russian Far East of Russia were closely related to the system of self-government. The first notaries played an important role in the formation of the system of civil circulation in the region. The article considers historical conditions, features and problems of the development of a notariate in Vladivostok during this period.
