Psychological content of professionally oriented foreign language communicative competence of a linguist

The article is devoted to the consideration of the communicative competence of a linguist from a psychological point of view. Both its content and factors influencing the formation of professional communicative competence of a linguist are considered. The characteristic of the specifics of the profession, which determines these factors, is given.
