The issue of origin of the Scythian-like maoqinggou culture (5 th - 3d centuries B. C.) has not been considered by the Russian researchers yet, neither has it been studied in China. Meanwhile, in recent years new data have been received which allow to connect that culture with the yuhuangmiao culture which moved 200-300 km from the East to Ordos in the 6 th century B. C. Their genetic link is proved by similar burial ritual and things complex. According to the recently published materials from the burial grounds near Daihai Lake, the representatives of the shajing and yanglang cultures (the 6 th - 4 th centuries B.C.) who migrated from the East Gansu also took part in forming the maoqinggou culture. The migration of the tribes from the East and South to the Huang he bend (Ordos) is likely to have been connected with their gradual being ousted by the farmers of the Northern Chinese kingdoms.
