The article discusses certain issues in the norms of criminal procedure law of the Russian Federation that constitute an impediment to the full implementation of the rights and legitimate interests of the suspect. It is proposed to adjust the criminal procedure legislation in terms of the procedural rights and obligations of the suspect.
