Russian petrochemical enterprises' financial derivatives implementation related issues

In the article, the application of innovative financial products is presented asa possible way for Russian enterprises to obtain a petrochemical complex ofcompetitive advantages. The irrational behavior of market agents, their limitedrationality, the non-transparency of the derivatives market, are considered as themain factors contributing to the formation of a negative perception of it by domestic petrochemical companies. The article highlights the main components forming the above factors. The influence of these factors on the emergence of risks from the use of financial engineering instruments is determined. On the basis of the revealed problems possible ways of their leveling are defined.
