The present article is devoted to some legal regulation problems of employee disciplinary responsibility and its administration. On the one hand, disciplinary responsibility is an effective tool for increasing labor productivity. On the other hand it is a punitive mechanism in the hands of the employer which, in terms of legal regulation, must be perfect. In the course of the study, the author comes to the conclusion that the norms of labor law on labour discipline are imperfect in many ways. It leads to difficulties in norms' administration.
