The empirical base of article is results of questioning of parents for the purpose of studying of features of formation of knowledge at them of traditions of sports education of the Kuban Cossacks and transfer to their children of the senior preschool age. During preliminary experiment mass questioning of parents of children of 6-7 years old who are brought up in the preschool educational organizations of the city of Krasnodar was carried out. 180 parents took part in questioning. The main purpose of the questionnaire was to identify the place and role of physical education of the Kuban Cossacks in the lives of children aged 6-7 and to identify the key social factors which, in the opinion of respondents, have the influence on the formation of ethno-cultural values of physical education of preschool children.
