The Short review is devoted to the urgent problem of maintaining the health of workers and ensuring the viability of enterprises during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Arctic. The goal of the study was to conduct a systematic analysis of activities carried out during a period of high risk of the spread of COVID-19 in shift camps located in the Russian Arctic. The article presents the most complete list of measures to counter the COVID-19 pandemic, taking into account the Arctic specifics of the organization of work and the placement of personnel in shift camps. The results of the study showed that the administrations of many enterprises, in order to ensure the continuity of production processes, took unprecedented measures to deploy a sanitary and epidemiological security system and provide timely medical care to workers who fell ill with COVID-19. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the measures taken and the socio-economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Arctic may be the subject of further research.
