Monetary penalty as another measure of criminal procedural coercion: issues of its implementation

The article considers the algorithm of the investigator’s actions in the application of monetary penalties, the controversial issue of giving the investigator and the inquirer the authority to independently impose monetary penalties. Certain issues of the application of monetary penalties are identified, ways of their solution are outlined.
